Tata Communications reported consolidated net profit attributable to equity holders of ₹341.03 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, against ₹183.06 crore a year earlier, according to PSU Connect. On those figures, profit rose about 86%. The board approved the results on 15 October 2026.

The quarter

Income from operations was ₹6,687.89 crore, against ₹6,099.75 crore in the same quarter last year, a rise of about 10%. Profit before exceptional items was ₹499.44 crore.

The half-year

For the six months to 30 September 2026, income from operations was ₹13,270.71 crore, against ₹12,059.60 crore. Net profit attributable to equity holders was ₹475.26 crore. The report gives no half-year figure for the previous year's profit.

What the report leaves out

The report gives no EBITDA, margins, data business figures, quarter-on-quarter comparison or dividend, and no management comment.

Key numbers

  • Net profit: ₹341.03 cr (vs ₹183.06 cr)
  • Income from operations: ₹6,687.89 cr (vs ₹6,099.75 cr)
  • Profit before exceptional items: ₹499.44 cr (Q2 FY27)
  • H1 net profit: ₹475.26 cr (Six months)

What boards and CFOs should note

Three points stand out for finance teams. First, profit rose about 86% on revenue growth of about 10%, so the report's figures point to a large gain in profitability. Second, quarterly profit of ₹341.03 crore made up about 72% of the half-year total of ₹475.26 crore, so the first quarter was much smaller. Third, without segment or margin detail in this report, the company's filing is the place to see what drove the change.
