How we handle personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who is responsible
Spectate Group LLP is the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this site. You are the Data Principal. We process your data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the rules made under it.
Notice and consent
Before we collect personal data, we tell you in plain words what we collect and why. We rely on your free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent, given by a clear action such as ticking a box or submitting a form. You can withdraw consent as easily as you gave it, and we will stop processing unless the law requires us to continue.
Purpose limits
We use your data only for the purposes stated when you gave it: responding to your enquiry, running a consultation, sending a newsletter you asked for, assessing a partner application and keeping the site secure. We collect no more than those purposes need.
Your rights
As a Data Principal you can ask for a summary of the personal data we hold and how it is used, ask us to correct or complete it, and ask us to erase it. You can also nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to. You do not pay to use these rights.
Your duties
You must give us accurate information, must not impersonate anyone, and must not file false or frivolous complaints. The DPDP Act sets out these duties for every Data Principal.
Children
This site is written for business audiences. We do not knowingly process personal data of anyone under 18 without the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian, and we do not track, profile or target children.
Security and breaches
We keep reasonable security safeguards in place, including access controls and encryption in transit. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India in the way the law requires.
Retention, erasure and transfers
We erase personal data once its purpose is served or you withdraw consent, unless the law requires us to keep it. Data is transferred outside India only where the DPDP Act and government notifications permit.
Grievance officer
To raise a concern or use any right above, write to our Grievance Officer through the Contact page or email Support@spectategroup.in. We will acknowledge and respond within the time the law prescribes. If your concern is not resolved, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
