How we collect, use and protect the information you share with us.
What we collect
Information you give us when you book a consultation, subscribe to The Weekly Brief, apply to our partner network or write to us: your name, designation, company, work email, phone number, the nature of your matter and anything else you choose to send. If you apply to the partner network we also collect your professional registration details and CV. We also collect limited technical data, such as pages visited, device type and approximate location, to keep the site secure and working well.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry, schedule and run consultations, prepare proposals, send the newsletter you asked for, assess partner applications, keep the site secure and understand which content is useful. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
Lawful basis and consent
We process personal data on the basis of your consent, given by a clear action such as ticking a box or submitting a form, and where needed to respond to a request you made. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us; withdrawal does not affect what we did before you withdrew.
Confidentiality of matters
What you tell us about a transaction, valuation, tax position or dispute is treated as confidential. It is shared only with the advisors working on your matter, or where the law or a competent authority requires it. If you need a non-disclosure agreement before sharing details, ask and we will sign ours or yours.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers that host our systems, send email or schedule calls on our behalf, and only for that purpose. Each is bound by contract to protect it and to use it only on our instructions. We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation or a court order.
Storage, security and transfers
Data is stored on secured servers with access limited to people who need it, using encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive documents until we have agreed a secure channel. Data is transferred outside India only where Indian law permits.
Retention
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed for the purpose it was given, and for as long as the law requires us to keep records of an engagement. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Partner applications that are not taken forward are deleted within a reasonable period.
Cookies
We use essential cookies that the site needs to work and privacy-respecting analytics that do not identify you personally. You can block or delete cookies in your browser without losing access to the site.
Your rights and how to reach us
You can ask us to give you a summary of the personal data we hold, correct or complete it, erase it, or stop sending you the newsletter. Write to Support@spectategroup.in and we will respond within the time the law prescribes. More detail on your rights under Indian law is in our Data protection page.
