Federal Bank reported standalone net profit of ₹1,386 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, against ₹955 crore in the same quarter last year, according to PSU Connect. On those figures, profit rose about 45%. The board approved the results at its meeting on 16 October 2026.

The quarter

Total income was ₹9,211 crore and operating profit was ₹2,225 crore. The report gives no net interest income, margin, advances or deposits figures, and no comparison with the June quarter.

The half-year

For the six months to 30 September 2026, net profit was ₹2,563 crore, against ₹1,817 crore a year earlier, a rise of about 41% on those figures. Total income was ₹17,498 crore and operating profit was ₹4,123 crore.

Asset quality and capital

Gross NPAs improved to 1.32% from 1.83% a year earlier. Net NPAs were 0.17%. The capital adequacy ratio under Basel III was 16.84%.

Key numbers

  • Net profit: ₹1,386 cr (vs ₹955 cr a year ago)
  • Operating profit: ₹2,225 cr (Q2 FY27)
  • Gross NPA: 1.32% (From 1.83%)
  • CRAR: 16.84% (Basel III)

What boards and CFOs should note

Three points stand out for finance teams. First, quarterly profit rose about 45% against about 41% for the half-year, so the second quarter grew faster than the period as a whole. Second, gross NPAs fell by 0.51 percentage points on the year to 1.32%. Third, the report omits net interest income and margin, which are the usual markers for a bank, so the bank's filing is the place to check them.
